Kinghorn, St Mary and St Leonard’s

Kinghorn Parish Church of Scotland, St James's Place, Kinghorn, Fife KY3 9SU

Episcopalians now share the ‘Kirk by the Sea’ with the Church of Scotland. For over 750 years the church has had an unrivalled view across the beach to the Firth of Forth and Edinburgh. It has a historic bell-tower and a ‘Sailors’ Aisle,’ built in 1609, celebrating the naval connection and a model of the first Unicorn. Nave of 1774 by George Paterson and chancel and tower of 1895 by Sidney Mitchell & Wilson.
The congregation moved from the ‘tin church’ St Mary and St Leonard’s in Kinghorn when it was decommissioned in 2005 to the Kinghorn Parish Church.
