St Andrews Day Service at St Ninian’s Cathedral

The annual St Andrews-tide Service was held in St Ninian’s Cathedral on Sunday 30 November 2008.

The Very Rev Hunter Farquharson welcomed Provost John Hulbert in a procession which included City of Perth and Glenalmond College Pipe Bands and a substantial group of Councillors who had walked in procession from the Council Chambers. Also taking part in the service were Perth Academy String Orchestra, the Cathedral Choir and the Jamboree Children’s Choir.

This is another sign of the way in which our church is gradually taking its place alongside other churches in the civic life of our community. We are delighted to be able to host these events and to work in partnership for the good of the whole community.
